it would be nice if they have a phone no listed as noone seems to have one.
“bigroo” has contacted me 4 times with a pretty hard-sell.. however, they couldn’t answer one basic question:
Q: How much traffic is bigroo getting??
A: We haven’t set that up on our servers as yet, but we’re hoping to be able to get an idea of traffic in the next few months.
This is hopeless… c’mon, even the most basic hosting package tells you how many visits to your website…. what have they got to hide!!
I have a vested interest in local.com.au, and yes, when asked, we will give out our stats.
And yes Michael, we also have phone numbers listed.
Received a call today and currently doing online research (note: offer to me as at May 14 08 was $90 per month for the 4 months, with 2 free months thrown in). Am not particularly confident nor convinced at this stage.
i agree with Michael – and it was once on their site

FYI, the listing they put up about my service was poorly researched and therefore inaccurate
How irritating can one company be? and how naive?
There must be some real suckers out there…
They must be stepping up their sales pitch, as I have received about 6 calls in as many business days.
I don’t even respond anymore – I just hang up.
Makes my blood boil
Hi, also have been called by them 4+ times with a hard sell on their ‘premium listings’. They claim that taking a premium listing will boost our ranks on google.com.au .. I can’t see how this is possible since I can’t see how google can can spider their site to see these listings (googles bot doesn’t submit forms). The examples they gave for their customers who rank highly as a result of their service do not show bigroo as a backlink, and the search terms they gave were very obscure (eg “AUS RUBBER” and “ISLAMIC CLOTHES”).
I can’t see how their service of submitting a site to search engines like google weekly would make any difference, in fact these search engines would more likely see them as spammers for such behaviour.
If I search google for “Australian Search Engine” I do not see them on the first 4 pages (gave up looking after that)
I think we’ll avoid them like the plague.
I already subcribe with bigroo and it gives me a lot of clients! specially in my local area… I highly recommend this Serach engine to you guys!!
All you have to do is just give them a shot!!
Then you will see the results as soon as possible!!
All i can say is dont judge the book by its cover!
I took out a premium listing on BigRoo and it gives a lot of traffic to my website and i recieve a lot of inquiries specially in my local area.. all i can say is that dont judge the book by its cover give them a shot and you will see the results
